Fire Permits Required

It’s the time of year when we all want to clean our yards after a particularly difficult winter. Please remember you must have a fire permit to burn.

Because it’s extremely dry out there, watch the Smokey the Bear sign in front of the station. If it reads “extreme” no burning is permitted. Not even small fires to cook s’mores on.

Training Burn

On April 18, 2009 HFD participated in a training burn in Bristol. Thank you to BFD for allowing HFD to get some very important hands on training that otherwise would be hard to come by.

Unfortunately HFD’s photographer had to work. The pictures below were taken by 11 C 10; that is why there are no pictures of HFD’s personnel fighting the fire. After all, it’s kinda hard to hold a charged nozzle and a camera at the same time.
