Mock Drill: Injuries from a Fall, Delta Level

Last night HFD participated in EMS training at the Jennie D. Blake School. It was a mock drill, toned out by Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid, of “an approximately 30 year old male fallen with injuries delta level.”
11 Engine 1 and 11 Utility 1 responded as if it were a real call.

Firefighter Down

Last night members of HFD participated in training. On the agenda was a maze in which members had to navigate while in their gear with SCBAs on. The lights were turned down and only ambient street light was available. Wax paper was put on the front of the SCBAs to simulate heavy smoke.

Open House

Today was the culmination of Fire Prevention Week here in Hill. We ended the festivities by having an open house, tower rides, ambulance tours, and a vehicle extrication demonstration.

The day started by washing all the apparatus.
